XYZ After School Club

Providing excellent before and after school care where children feel safe, happy and secure, and mostly importantly have fun! Based at Alban City School and Bernards Heath Junior School in St Albans. We offer a wide range of creative crafts, fun games and indoor and outdoor activities, along with a healthy breakfast or delicious afternoon snack. All children are welcome from Reception to Year 6 (Year 3 – Year 6  Bernards Heath Junior School).

Welcome back to the new school year. All sessions are fully booked for this half term. If you are looking to book sessions we will be running a waiting list.  Please note that we are not able to cancel or change sessions without a half terms notice (as in T&Cs) If you know you will no longer require places next half term – Nov/Dec please let us know by Friday 15th September 2023  or the booking will run over and the next opportunity to change your sessions will be for Jan/March.  

Are you looking for a fun part time role? We have vacancies from September 2023 at both Alban City and BHJS settings at ABC Breakfast Club – various days 7.30am – 8.45am and XYZ After School Club – Tuesdays 3.30pm-5.30pm.  Join our friendly team as a play worker, providing a safe, stimulating and fun setting for children before and after school.  Lots of benefits – Excellent rate of pay. Staff children attend free of charge. Training and development available. Ideal role for A level students (aged 17), university students, grandparents, retirees and everyone in between!

Hopefully you have received your requested school allocation for September 2023. Now is the time to let us know which school you will be attending and confirm your wrap around care. If you are already on our waiting list, please let its know whether you will, or won’t be taking a place as we are getting lots of enquiries. Places are offered in chronological order for when we receive bookings so don’t delay!

As the teachers continue their strike action, please note that ABC Breakfast Club and XYZ After school Club at both settings will be OPEN as usual. We will have our full team of staff on duty and are expecting all children who are not affected by the action, and who are in school to attend as usual. If your child is not in school, but you would like them to attend their XYZ session please let us know to expect them

If you are applying for school places for September 2023 in Reception or Year 3 at BHJS and would like to be added to our waiting list, please let us know your childs name and schools you are interested in.You will be added to our waiting list in the date order in which we receive your enquiry. 
Places are allocated to siblings as a priority, then in chronological order of all current and new enquiries. Places are then confirmed in April once your school places have been allocated. Please note that we anticipate that we may be full at some sessions and not be able to fully accommodate all requests, so please enquire ASAP. Please contact us on if you ave any further questions.
